Advanced, energy-efficient technologies for ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ materials, manufacturing and process industries will be explored during a workshop on March 21 at the University of ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ Anchorage.
ACEP is working with UAA’s to coordinate the event. During the event, ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ manufacturing industry stakeholders (process developers, materials developers/processors, software developers, systems designers, etc.) will meet with representatives from the and three .
The workshop will review manufacturing-relevant technologies being developed at DOE and opportunities for ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ entities to leverage resources at the DOE national laboratories as part of their efforts to strengthen, diversify and grow the state’s value-adding economic sectors. Focus areas for the discussions include: novel energy systems; manufacture of high-value, low-footprint materials; digitally driven manufacturing; converting waste to chemicals; and software development. All are examples of desired areas of interest. Interested? Contact George Roe for more details.
