Wood Energy Conference Brings Together International Biomass Leaders

For the first time, the ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥-Yukon Wood Energy Conference was organized by an international committee.

The conference, which begins today at the Wedgewood Resort, brings together biomass leaders from Canada and ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ to discuss the common hurdles and solutions for biomass energy development in the regions.

Sessions will cover a wide variety of topics. Hear about why Burwash Landing, which has one of the oldest biomass installations in the Yukon, returned to a chip-fired boiler for its district heat system. Learn about innovative and efficient greenhouse designs for a cold climate based on lessons learned from the Yukon and rural ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥, including ideas gleaned from a school district greenhouse program.
