Your Data Can Expand Knowledge of ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥â€™s Electric Vehicles
ACEP developed a for ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ communities. The work was made possible by ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ Energy Authority funding for the ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ Electric Vehicle Working Group.
Using this calculator, users identify their communities and select a range of inputs on vehicle use (daily mileage, parked in a garage or outside, etc.) The output compares the EV’s energy costs and emissions to an internal combustion vehicle.
Data from EVs in ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ can help fill in the gaps in knowledge for energy use and performance in extreme cold temperatures. ACEP is currently gathering data on EV energy use in ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥. If you have an EV and are willing to share your data, contact Michelle Wilber at mmwilber@alaska.edu.
