Invest in Students

Funds raised through the Business Leader of the Year event support student organizations at the UAF School of Management (SOM). At past events there were cake and silent auctions in order to raise additional funds. This year, based on the suggestions of previous Business Leader of the Year recipients and event attendees, SOM tried something new.

Instead of telling how student organizations make a difference in students' lives, students filmed and directed a short video to show the impact:

Then previous Business Leader of the Year led the charge and gave directly in support of student organizations, inviting attendees to do the same. The audience, made up of the Interior community and business leaders chose to invest in students, raising thousands of dollars - all of which will go back to the future business leaders of ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥: UAF School of Management students.
