The Senate Finance Committee is hearing public testimony today on university funding. The subcommittee set state funding at $322.5 million, $14 million less than the House. You can testify on your views on funding the university at your local Legislative Information Office during specified times.

Earth Week feast, open house
Help celebrate the snowmelt and the Earth with a party! The Office of Sustainability will host its annual Earth Week feast and open house April 18. UAF departments, organizations and clubs are welcome to represent their activities at this event.

Practical energy workshops set for April 9 in Fairbanks
Extension energy specialist Art Nash will lead workshops April 9 in Fairbanks on options for camp energy and heating greenhouses. Both workshops are free and will meet in the Westmark Hotelās Tanana Trade Center. Remote Camp Energy will be offered from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and Greenhouse Heat from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
