Tlingit, Haida potatoes added to menu at medical center

A partnership between the ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ Native Tribal Health Consortium and the Matanuska Experiment Farm and Extension Center in Palmer will result in hundreds of meals featuring traditional Native foods for patients at the ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ Native Medical Center this year.

All staff, students and faculty across the University of ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ system are invited to a virtual Town Hall with UA President Pat Pitney on Tuesday, Nov. 8, from 1-2 p.m. viaÌýÌýor by watching the livestream on the UA President’sÌý.

Winter Wellness: Preparing your space

Students can stop by the Student Health and Counseling table in the MBS between noon and 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28 to get info related to making changes within their living space. Students can get handouts with activities that include decluttering surroundings, rearranging furniture, repurposing something that no longer seems meaningful, or getting crafty and adding cheerful or calming decorations to their space. They can also swipe their Polar Express card for a chance to win prizes.
