Facilities Services is working around the clock to provide drivable roads and parking spaces for all university stakeholders. A significant part of the snow clearance is hard-pack removal. Updates to UAF cleaning schedule

To improve the consistency of campus cleaning services, the custodial team is updating the semi-monthly cleaning schedule. The finalized cleaning schedule for the year, along with updated cleaning diagrams, will be available on the UAF Custodial Website starting Jan. 2, 2025. Learn more about the new cleaning schedule.


2025 Field Safety Training registration now open

The 2025 Field Safety Training schedule and signup link have been posted to the Nanook Recreation website. Seats in each course are first come, first serve. See the various field safety courses available and register.


Canvas and UAF Nanook Technology Services

Enjoy a beautiful evening in OneTree ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥'s birch grove under the full moon just before the winter solstice. Between 3:30-7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15, participants can learn about the long-term monitoring of birch trees in the ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ T-field and celebrate the tree stewardship that supports OneTree's mission. Arctic Report Card spotlights caribou, seals and carbon

According to the 2024 Arctic Report Card, released this week by the National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration and co-authored by ten ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ scientists, warming is affecting caribou populations, heat-trapping gas releases and many other parts of the ecosystem.
