LARS celebrates new calves at Annual Birthday Bash

The community will get an opportunity to see new muskox and reindeer calves at the LARS annual Birthday Bash.

The �ֻ�ֱ��’ Large Animal Research Station will introduce its new reindeer and muskox calves at its annual Birthday Bash from noon-4 p.m. on June 4.

The free event is open to everyone and will include children’s activities, cookies and plenty of animals. Other participants include the �ֻ�ֱ�� Department of Fish and Game, UAF One Health, the �ֻ�ֱ�� Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems Integration, the Fairbanks Knitters Guild and the Fairbanks Children’s Museum.

A shuttle will be available throughout the event to take visitors from UAF’s Taku parking lot, off Farmers Loop Road, to the Birthday Bash. Parking is limited at LARS.
