Nanook Rec offers fitness, strength classes

Students in Nanook Recreation's beginning strength training class will learn the basics and safety considerations when performing resistance exercises such as this weighted squat.

Registration is open for Nanook Recreation’s 6-week beginner-friendly strength training program. Class starts Monday, Jan. 13. 

” is a progressive course. Students will learn basic concepts and safety considerations when resistance training. Exercises will be tailored to individual needs, and modifications can be made for a variety of skill levels.

The class is free to Nanook Recreation members. Space is limited.

Nanook Rec will also offer drop-in group fitness classes during the spring semester. Offerings include yoga, indoor cycling, aerial silks, Olympic weightlifting, lunchtime bootcamp and salsa dancing.
