The ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ Harvest Collaborative partners with organizations that want to help ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ns learn ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥-specific growing skills for personal use and community benefit and to increase the availability and sustainability of locally grown produce from both commercial and personal efforts.

UAF Office of Sustainability ‘Nanook Grown’ students participate in the Student Gardener Training Program and volunteer their time to grow produce while learning gardening skills specific to subarctic growing techniques.

Fairbanks Soil and Water AFFECT program is providing training for new producers who can later contribute towards greater food security and greater access to healthy food in their communities!!

 

Calypso Farm offers an Indigenous-led Agriculture program, educating ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ Native participants in gardening practices that they can bring back to their local village or community in order to build and expand local gardens, establish locally-grown and harvested food businesses, and fortify local food sovereignty.
