The ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ Native Language Center, housed at the ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ Troth Yeddha’ Campus , was established by state legislation in 1972 as a center for research and documentation of the twenty Indigenous languages of ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥. It is internationally recognized as the major center in the United States for the study of Iñupiaq, Yup’ik and Northern Dene languages.

In celebration of fifty years of working toward its mission to cultivate and promote ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥â€™s twenty Native languages, the ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ Native Language Center captured the past, present, and future of language revitalization in this short film produced by Channel Films in Fall 2022. ANLC invites all interested to join the movement to promote ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ Native languages and contribute to the future of these languages and the heritage of all ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ns.
