Scholarships
There are many scholarship opportunities for history students at UAF.
The first step in the scholarship process is to visit the UAF Financial Aid website and begin the paperwork process. The deadline for this is February 15.

Research Award
Purpose: The Croxton Family Fellowship endowment will provide support to graduate students at the ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ who demonstrate academic skills and leadership abilities and whose academic program or research emphasis is in one or more of the broad areas of 1) anthropology, 2) Northern studies, 3) biology, 4) wildlife management, 5) elementary or secondary education 6) the fine arts, or 6) museum education and/or museum collection-based research in archaeology, ethnology or history. The intent of this fund is to increase the body of knowledge about ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥, and to train professionals who will contribute to ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ and its people.
Two @ $1,000 per academic year.
Purpose: To provide scholarships for ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ students, whose area of study has emphasis in any of the following subjects: Northern Studies/ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ Studies, Women's Studies, Anthropology, or History.

Minimum $500 per academic year
Purpose: To assist undergraduate students at the ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ in studies pertaining to ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥. Preference given to students with interest in Security/Fire or secretarial work.

Purpose: To provide funding on a rotating annual basis for undergraduate students in Geography and for graduate students in the Arctic and Northern Studies program at the ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥. Funds can be used for, but not limited to: supplies/materials and associated with research projects. Funds cannot be used to travel to conferences or similar academic meetings.

Purpose: To provide scholarship support to students studying ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥n history at the ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ College of Liberal Arts Northern Studies or History Programs, with a preference for students whose research is conducted using the ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ Film Archives in the UAF Rasmuson Library.

Minimum $1,000 per academic year
Purpose: To provide financial assistance for undergraduate students who have graduated from Lathrop High School and who are pursuing a degree in secondary education with a history endorsement at the ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥.
